Battery and range

The Screecher is an affordable, practical and carbon neutral solution for many of your transportation needs. It is equipped with a 12.8 Ah 48 V lithium-ion battery, which can be simply charged from the socket. It can be fully charged in just 6 hours (less if charged with the included charging leads). Each charge delivers an impressive 20 miles, or up to 35 miles in pedal assist mode. By pedaling without using motors or batteries, you can get as far as you can.

Updated Screecher model

A new Screecher model has recently appeared. The technical characteristics of the newest model have not changed dramatically. It continues to be powered by a dual 350W electric motor system, with each turn of the throttle generating approximately 22 lb-ft of torque. It is still covered with a solar-powered canopy topped with photovoltaic cells. These boxes now also cover the rear storage box behind the driver (formerly the passenger seat). This helps to collect more solar energy and push those batteries a little bit in the efficiency department.

The newly updated Sunox Screeher frame measures 32 x 70 x 64 inches (81 x 177.8 x 162.5 cm) and weighs approximately 140 lbs (63.5 kg). It sits and rides on 20 "pneumatic tires at the front and 16" at the rear. The roof canopy is removable and the Screecher unit folds down to fold down for easy transport between trips.

The Screecher has been tested on a variety of terrains. Sunox claims it can provide a relatively smooth ride with shock-absorbing suspension, allowing you to ride on tarmac or gravel roads, forest trails, beaches, and more.

Lest you think this is the end, the Screecher also has cruise control, a function that is activated from the car's LCD display. To undo it, you just need to use the Screamer's pauses.

The LCD displays information including the odometer, speedometer, cruise control activation, driving mode, assistance level, battery levels currently stored by the vehicle, and other information related to the trip. It is equipped with a rearview mirror and a removable safety flag.
