The new Karmic OSLO is unlike any electric moped we've seen before. Half electric bike and half electric scooter, this one seems to be straight out of a sci-fi movie.

Karmic OSLO - the latest electric moped

The Karmic OSLO is an electric bike with a hydroformed aluminum chassis and thermoplastic body panels. It comes with pedals and hand throttle and is designed to reach speeds of 20 mph (32 km / h). This classifies it as a Class 2 e-bike in the US.

The removable 480 Wh battery is rated for 20 miles (32 km) of real range when using mostly throttle only.

The motor is rated for a surprisingly low power of 250W, although very few 250W motors actually deliver that little power. More often than not, these are higher horsepower engines that are underestimated for regulatory reasons. Karmic also says they have a 500W version as well, so there might be more power in the future.

Karmic OSLO is equipped with light alloy wheels and wide tires for a stable and comfortable ride. Front and rear LED lights are integrated into the bike and wrap around the rear for side visibility. Hydraulic disc brakes are standard for more powerful braking.

The design is similar to a stepping scooter, making it easier to mount and dismantle compared to a traditional electric motorcycle.

OSLO is really easy to use and very user friendly. It is the perfect hybrid of a bike and an electric scooter, but it is also more convenient and easier to use than any other. The wide and long OSLO foam saddle recalls the good old days when banana seats prevailed on the sidewalks. Its wider tires will soften your ride and ensure smooth overcoming of inevitable bumps and potholes on the road. Fast is fun, but safe can be fun too.
