Urbet Ego is a beautiful e-scooter that makes you look cool. If you're an avid racer looking for cheaper, greener, electric alternatives, you don't have to compromise anymore. Spanish startup Urbet offers a very cool looking (and pretty pretty) electric moped / cafe racer called Ego. Urbet has been on the market since 2016 and currently offers five models of electric mopeds, depending on what you need: Gadiro, Hispano, Yadea C-Line, Ibiza e-scooter and Ego. The ego stands out for its beautiful design and pretty decent performance.

It would be difficult for you to distinguish this electric scooter from a real cafe racer in the distance. The ego's body is monolithic, with two protruding wheels, a half-open frame, and a single seat suspended above the body. It's small and lightweight, but capable of a decent job, all things considered.

The 3000W motor propels the Ego to a top speed of 90 km/h (55.9 mph), while the 72V lithium battery is rated for 120 km (74.5 miles). A full charge can be achieved in seven hours, and then you can get back on the road.

Since it is an electric car, it does not make any sounds, but for the safety of pedestrians, Urbet offers it with the option of a traditional motorcycle sound that is activated when the throttle is turned. Thus, you will not only look like a real motorcycle, but also sound like. “The ego is a whim” Managing Director Santiago Diaz-Pace tells ElectricVehicleWeb in a recent interview.

The Ego comes with an LCD display, hydraulic disc brakes and an anti-theft lock and is classified as an L3e vehicle, which means it requires an A or A1 driver's license.
