Chinese automaker Geely Automobile Holdings is launching a new premium electric vehicle brand in late March 2021 to capture market share for luxury electric vehicles. A new car brand called Zeekr will be promoted by Zhejiang parent company Geely Holding Group.


Geely was founded in 1986 and is based in Hangzhou, China.

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. manufactures cars in China. The company offers cars, engines, transmissions and automotive electronics. He sells his products through his sales network and dealers in China and abroad.


Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) is a global automotive group that consists of several well-known international brands including Geely Auto, Zeekr, LYNK & CO, Geometry, Volvo Car, Polestar, London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), PROTON, Lotus, and Terrafugia. The group operates 40 manufacturing and assembly plants, 9 R&D centers and 9 design centers in North America, Europe, China and Southeast Asia, employing over 120,000 people. Geely is continually improving on cutting edge technologies such as new energy, automotive networks, autonomous drive, automotive microchips, LEO satellites, co-mobility and laser communications as they lay the foundation for a “3D mobility ecology” of the future.
