Vortex Bladeless, an intensive research and development company founded in 2013, exclusively develops and markets devices capable of capturing the kinetic energy of the wind from vortices, converting it into other useful forms of energy.
Since September 2012 the development of the Vortex project is sponsored by the Repsol Foundation.
Currently, the Vortex team, in addition to the founders, consists of other engineers as well as renowned external consultants who provide technical support to the project, plus a First Line Advisory Board and shareholders who contribute greatly to the company.
Our vortex wind turbine is not really a turbine because it does not rotate. It is based on the phenomenon of aeroelastic resonance, so the device vibrates with a moderate range of motion, making it ideal for placement anywhere without harming wildlife.
The idea came up suddenly in 2012 to David Yanes after watching a video of the Tacoma Bridge swaying in the wind. Since then, we've worked hard on technology. It was not easy to pick up the materials and find a way to put them together with the best possible value. New technology is always difficult to develop, although we are very close to achieving our goal. We work with several independent companies. These are not just partners, but like-minded people. CURRENT STATE OF THE VORTEX PROJECT
Onshore wind farms and new turbines are achieving very good results. Although we are targeting the end-user / residential market, Vortex aero generators can be seen as an alternative to solar panels in urban and industrial scale.
We have worked tirelessly to optimize the final details of the energy conversion and tuning system, as well as to certify the air generator so that it can be sold worldwide. However, before we really enter the market, we need to establish production.
