Aerion Supersonic - Creates a new era of sustainable supersonic flight. At the heart of Aerion is the belief in the rapprochement of humanity. The company's vision is a future in which humanity can travel between any two points on our planet within three hours, using new transport networks based on clean energy solutions to create a world in which distance is no longer an obstacle. The starting point is sustained supersonic flight in the world's first supersonic business jet, the AS2.
WE ARE BUILDING A FUTURE IN WHICH HUMANITY CAN TRAVEL BETWEEN ANY TWO POINTS ON OUR PLANET FOR THREE HOURS.
WE DESIGN CLEAN ENERGY TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS.
There are many challenges, frictions and wastes of time in today's mobile networks. Thanks to supersonic flight, we will return time to our customers - time to do what they love. Time to connect with our world.
We will make air travel fun, enjoyable, efficient and luxurious again. An experience that seamlessly integrates all of our clients' mobility and lifestyle needs. With Aerion Connect ™ we are creating a new mobility ecosystem optimized for speed.
AS2 ® is the first in a family of supersonic aircraft and a starting point in expanding the availability of faster mobile networks.
Aerion, in partnership with the Airbus Group, is successfully supporting its efforts to revive civilian supersonic flight. The two companies are working together on an improved design for the AS2 supersonic business jet. The result will be the world's fastest civil aircraft with a maximum speed of Mach 1.5 and a new definition of speed, capability and span.
Since its founding in 2002, Aerion has invested over $100 million in R&D, much of which has been associated with NASA and other prominent aerospace research organizations, to develop concepts for a family of efficient supersonic jet aircraft. During this time, he has developed, flown and tested supersonic airfoils with natural laminar flow, which reduce the frictional drag of the wing by 80 percent and the total drag of the airframe by 20 percent.
The culmination of this effort was the Mach 1.5 business jet, the AS2, capable of crossing the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean almost twice as fast as modern subsonic jets.
